So in today’s Medium article, I’ll ONLY be discussing the factual proof available that Covid-19 HAS been isolated.

I’m addressing this due to the rise of false claims that Covid-19 hasn’t been isolated, which has been circulating yet again on social media and other parts of the internet. So sit back, enjoy the read and please share this article with people who state the false claim.

➡ The Whole Covid-19 Genome
The best piece of proof available right now that it has been isolated is the complete genome sequence of this RNA virus which is publicly available for anyone to visit and have a read through. (Source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/NC_045512)

➡ First case in the USA
There’s even evidence of Covid-19 isolation from a peer-reviewed study on very first documented case of SARS-CoV-2 on USA soil. (Source: https://www.nejm.org/doi/10.1056/NEJMoa2001191)

➡ Full detail on isolation
So from the above patient the CDC on a very good study on Covid-19 isolation and all aspects that were undertaken into isolation and more. (Source: https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/26/6/pdfs/20-0516.pdf)

➡ Other resources
There are links to multiple databases of sequences, structures, and more on the NCBI site. (Source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sars-cov-2/)

Getting all of the above requires isolates. Experiments that pharmaceutical companies and other researchers conduct tests, whether given mutations impact the efficacy of therapeutics. So this link is another very good resource to draw information from. (Source: https://opendata.ncats.nih.gov/covid19/)

➡ Conclusion
Very short conclusion. COVID-19 HAS BEEN ISOLATED, TOO MUCH EVIDENCE IS AVAILABLE.
