Covid Vaccination did NOT cause Hepatitis in UK Kids
In today’s possibly short Medium article, I will be discussing the main focal points of illogical Hepatitis claims, where nonsensical people are trying to link Covid-19 related vaccination to the recent surge of cases within the UK and beyond this virus. So without further ado, let’s get into today’s article.
➡️ What is hepatitis?
According to the CDC — “Hepatitis means inflammation of the liver. The liver is a vital organ that processes nutrients, filters the blood, and fights infections. When the liver is inflamed or damaged, its function can be affected. Heavy alcohol use, toxins, some medications, and certain medical conditions can cause hepatitis.” [1]

➡️ The false claims
Many illogical argument points have been made on social media, using personal assumptions and views, that they believe (without causal evidence [1]), that vaccination was behind this.
The UK Government have even stated that there is no evidence linking Covid vaccination to hepatitis in children aged under 5 [2]. From the same cited source, the majority of the children at this time who had hepatitis were under the age of 5 and CANNOT get vaccinated against Covid-19. This alone rules out the false claim of vaccination being the cause. With further evidence to support this, the WHO also stated this via quotation “Hypotheses related to side effects from the Covid-19 vaccines are currently not supported as the vast majority of affected children did not receive Covid-19 vaccination.” [3]
As we can see from the NHS guidelines, a child HAS to be at least 5 years of age to even receive a Covid vaccination. Adding more robust evidence to this case. [4]

➡️ Adenovirus claims
There are more than 60 types of adenoviruses [1], this family is called adenoviridae [2], adenoviruses cause colds, tonsillitis, diarrhoea and ear infections in children. Named after the human adenoids as this is where they first isolated from. Now with the basic intro and understanding of adenoviruses out of the way, let’s debunk this claim.
The AZ vaccine uses a chimpanzee adenovirus vector (ChAdOx1, which is based on ChAdY25 [3]) as the viral vector, which only causes common colds in chimpanzees, it has been genetically changed so it’s impossible for this adenovirus to grow in humans and is completely harmless [4].
The adenoviruses that have been collected in samples from infected kids are F41 & AAV2, the former is a leading cause of diarrhoea in children [5]. Both are these types of adenoviruses are NOT present in any vaccines against Covid-19
The J&J vaccine uses the Ad26 adenovirus inside of it’s vaccine [6], again unrelated to the samples found from children and we have to remember that both J&J and AZ use a technology known as a viral vector, in this case, an adenovirus is used, completed altered so it cannot make you sick, cannot replicate itself inside of you, cannot integrate into your DNA, this is achieved by scientists taking out the important parts of an adenoviruses genome [7].

➡️ Viral Vector vaccines explained
There are two types of viral vector vaccines:
1. Replicating viral vector vaccines — infect cells, resulting in the production of the vaccine antigen. [1]
2. Nonreplicating viral vector vaccines — infect cells, resulting in the production of the vaccine antigen, but the viral vector cannot be reproduced. [2]
In a broader laymen’s term for this, viral vector vaccines would use a modified version of a virus to use as a delivery parcel to a cell and given for coding for an antigen. It has been stated as a fact that this type of vaccine technology CANNOT cause infection [3]. Most, if not all viral vectors are genetically designed in the lab to be completely inept of replication due to the important genomic parts being removed, as I’ve previously stated too [4].

➡️ Conclusion
It’s abundantly clear that Covid-19 vaccination was NOT the cause as the majority of the kids infected were under 5 years of age. The adenoviruses used within two vaccine candidates in the UK don’t use the same type of adenoviruses that were found in samples that have been collected from children. These samples are F41 & AAV2. This has clearly been debunked once and for all.
